Over the past several of weeks they’ve been experiencing a highly specific workshop geared towards cultivating their public speaking skills. As a part of this workshop they’ve gained confidence, research skills, and life long habits. Over the course of the last few months they’ve been developing a speech based on their passions and interest. Just last week, they gave their final speeches in an end of the unit celebration. Parents and JRAD members were invited to attend, and the event went fantastically! We’re proud of the progress of our students and are excited to see what comes with our debate unit.

Switching gears, we’ve also seen progress with the travel team to ODUMUNC. Having fully established our travel team, we reached out to 14 skilled individuals to join us in this conference. Even though we’re a long ways away from February, we’re excited to see what the future holds for our travel team!

One of our other projects is reaching out to various organizations and non-profits to expand JRAD’s reach and foster public speaking skills within our community.
