Big thanks to all of those who have been tuned in to these updates, and I hope you enjoyed getting to know a little more about each of our board members + our Travel Captain Aditya.

The plebeians of JRAD have been riding the high of our ODUMUNCE win well into summer, channeling the energy as motivation for our summer camp preparations. BTW, registration closes in ONE MONTH, so if you haven’t signed up for a week of fun, games, and general shenanigans, follow our registration link here to do so. Go on. You know you want to.

If you want to stay in the know about JRAD across all platforms, our social media manager recently decided to join the world of the living again (shout out Saanvi) and has performed a blood oath to follow a strict posting schedule. You can follow us on Instagram at the handle @jr_diplomacy1. Be sure to like and repost while you’re there, otherwise I don’t think Saanvi will be very happy…

Moving forward, since we have exhausted our board members with monthly updates, we have decided to shift the focus to the younger generation of JRAD—primarily our Vice Presidents! We have VP positions ranging from areas like Education to Outreach to Finance and Legalities. JRAD is blessed with a team of hardworking, overachieving, and talented VPs, so we can’t wait to shine a light on each individual over the next few months.

Before I officially pass the torch to the more vertically challenged members of JRAD, I wanted to make a special announcement. For the first time in history, JRAD will be welcoming our very own Keynote Speaker to our 2026 Summer Camp: Richard Roberts II!

**cue applause**

Mr. Roberts, Data & Governance Lead at PUBLIC Consulting Group, is a seasoned leader with many years of experience spanning technical, operational, and consulting roles. Throughout his career, he has built a strong reputation for guiding complex business and technology initiatives, strengthening enterprise processes, and helping organizations translate data and systems into meaningful business value. His background includes experience in financial systems, business process improvement, enterprise technology, and consulting, giving him a unique ability to bridge strategy, operations, and execution.

At PCG, Richard has contributed across critical enterprise initiatives and has now transitioned from the Enterprise Architecture team to the Data Intelligence team, where he is leading the firm’s Data Governance and Data Quality efforts. In this role, he is helping shape a stronger foundation for trusted data, improved decision-making, and greater organizational alignment across the enterprise. His leadership reflects a deep commitment to operational excellence, cross-functional collaboration, and advancing the strategic value of data across PCG.

Mr. Roberts’ influence extends beyond the organization as well. He is passionate about volunteering in the local community through his time with the American Red Cross and Henrico Humane Society. Most important though is his desire to help inspire the next generation of leaders by sharing the importance of technology, growth, and future opportunities.

Speaking on behalf of the whole JRAD community, we are incredibly excited to hear from Mr. Roberts during our camp week this summer. His real-world experience and life lessons will be incredibly valuable to all of our students.

That’s everything I have for you now! Stay tuned for our July newsletter—I wonder which VP will be brave enough to post first…

Hello, everyone!
