Hello everyone who is taking the time out of their day to read this post!
My name is Aditya Singhal, and I am a VP of Education and Travel Team Captain for the James River Academy of Diplomacy. I am honored to share some new information about our organization.
This month, in February, 12 students from JRAD traveled to Norfolk, Virginia to attend the 49th annual Old Dominion University Model United Nations Conference. There, delegates participated in various committees, ranging from UNSS Reform to the Hunger Games. Months of training and preparation went into this event and I am so fortunate to have been the captain for such an amazing team. Our students did exceptionally well, earning several awards, including Honorable, Outstanding, and Best Delegates. Below is a list of all of our award winners:
- Aditi Inamdar
- Ethan Xing and Aditya Singhal
- Yunay Vaddi and Srihaas Sudhireddy
- Luqmaan Khan and Yash Ganti
- Prithwish Chatterjee and Abeer Shah
In addition, we would like to give a shoutout to Anjana Peddapurapu, Mithun Sethuraman, and Adwaidh Krishna Renjith for their performance.
We are insanely proud of the fantastic work everyone did and are also excited to share that the work that these students did won JRAD the Secretary General’s Award for Best Delegation. Our students were some of the best at the conference, and we are incredibly proud and grateful for their hard work, exhibiting diplomacy, collaboration, and communication.
I would like to also extend a few special gratitudes.
First, our chaperones: Mr. Pallab Chatterjee and Mr. Renjith Sadasivan. They were instrumental in our success, registering our students for the conference, handling communications with parents, and keeping us safe and on track throughout the weekend. All of our students are immensely grateful for their support.
Second, Priyanka Nyamtabad, a junior at Maggie L. Walker Governor’s School. She joined our delegate training team to provide spectacular insight to our delegates, providing them with the skills needed for success. A successful and exceptional MUN delegate herself, her guidance was without a doubt an intrinsic part of our work at ODUMUNC.
Lastly, I would like to thank the JRAD Board for their support in planning the team and helping with executive decisions. For any event we do, their help is always appreciated.
Continuing on, we are excited to announce that registration for the 2026 James River Academy of Diplomacy Summer Camp is officially OPEN!!! We have some great things in the works for this summer, once again bringing in RVA’s MUN excellence to host an affordable yet exceptional summer camp. We cater to students of all grades and experience levels, and cannot wait to welcome students this summer.

Many thanks,
Aditya Singhal
